Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite days. Sometimes it can be stressful when your kid doesn't know what they want to be for Halloween or they change their mind in the last second. But most of the time it is so much fun. I love watching the kids get dressed up. It is so much fun to watch them and see how happy they are. I wish I could be as excited as they are over something that is so simple and so small. That is the joy that kids bring us in our lives. How lucky we are to be blessed with little ones who brighten our days.

This year we had fun picking out the girls costumes. Teysia, if you can't tell, is Strawberry Short Cake. I told her she was a little to sexy for Strawberry. She thought I was crazy. Rylee wanted to be a mean witch. As you see she looks so scary and mean. I told her she might scare the little kids. Sadie chose to be a dead bride. Instead she looks like a beautiful bride. I was a little scared. Her life flashed before my eyes. I could see her as a real bride someday. That will creep up on me before I know it. Sammy also had to dress up. He hated it!!!!

My family knows that we have a tradition. Every Halloween, Kelli brings her kids down to my house for pictures. She lives a block away. I make everyone have several pictures. At least until I am satisfied with all of them. Look how cute they all look.

Rylee looks so precious!!!

Sadie so sweet!!!

Teysia's fun personality!!!

The neighborhood kids. Teysia and Sadie's friends.

We were so blessed to have Katie with us this year. She was worried that she would not have a costume. She wanted to be a witch. She looks so beautiful. Katie had so much fun trick or treating. I didn't think she would want to go. She was the ring leader. She was slow and steady, but she was not going to stop until she was finished. She kept wanting to do one more house. I think she got more candy than some of the kids.

Everyone wanted to go get candy. They are going to kill each other. Indy is through before she even began. Lily is posing for us while her sister cries for help.

At our house after everyone had finished trick or treating we went inside for chili and doughnuts. It wouldn't be Halloween without them.

Brad with his brothers, Ryan and Travis, Jack and Candice. At least one of the brothers dressed up, Ryan.

What a good sport!!

I have had to play "catch-up!" I loved all your Halloween pics. The kids look darling-and Katie looked great too! You are so good to her. I loved your post about her.

And I have to say "poor Teysia." I too was busting up reading about her comb experience-and seeing Brad with his grandpa glasses on! I am super glad they got it out!

Oh, and Jordan looks so stinkin' cute as a missionary...and District Leader no less! So fun to see the pics!

(Grandma Sue) - So glad everyone had such a great time on Halloween. I agree, it is such a fun holiday! My dream is to have a "Witch Night", with my darling granddaughters; my beautiful daughter and daughters-in-law; and, of course, Me! I did, however, LOVE also the lovely "Dead Bride" and the cute Strawberry Shortcake. So fun!
