She's a Blonde!!!

What can I say. My daughter is a Blonde! Teysia is a straight "A" student. She is a beautiful dancer with so many talents and yet she can be so blonde. Teysia was looking in the mirror trying to be funny. She took the comb and twisted it around her bangs several times. Like I said she was trying to be funny. Then she realized that it was not so funny when she could not get the comb out of her hair. I thought she was teasing us. Brad and I were both laughing at her. To our surprise she was not laughing anymore. I thought I would be able to get the comb out. I tried for about ten minutes. I couldn't get it out. I started laughing harder. I told Teysia we might have to cut out the comb. She panicked!! There was no way she was going to allow us to do that. Teysia turned to her dad for some sympathy. I started laughing again when he had to get out his glasses to try and see what she had done. I got the camera and was taking pictures. Laughing the entire time. Brad tried for about fifteen minutes with no luck. By this point Teysia was starting to have a heart attack. I have to admit by this time I was not laughing any more. I called Kelli and told her we needed help A.S.A.P.. She came over so fast. Kelli felt bad for Teysia. She worked on getting the comb out for about twenty minutes. Kelli saved the day. What would Teysia have done with out her aunt Kelli. Teysia has learned a valuable lesson. DON'T EVER twist a comb in your bangs.

District Leader

We received a letter from Jordan this week. He is doing

so well. We are so proud of him. He has such a positive attitude. He has so much faith. Jordan said in his letter. "I have some news for you. I have been called to be the district leader. President Joseph F. Boone called me to this position. I don't know why the Lord chose me. All I can do is be the best leader I can through His help. "

Jordan is loving every minute of his mission. He says that he struggles with the language. He knows that the Lord will help in all that he is asked to do. This is Jordan's District that he is over. The sister missionaries are going to Peru.

Corn Belly's

We spent the day at Corn Belly's. Brad had never been before. I usually go with my sweet

mother in law. Since she is in Nebraska I made Brad go with me and the girls. He was in for a big treat. Brad had no idea what was in store for him. We had a great time being together. We laughed, played and laughed some more.

Who got in a fight?

The girls always like to get their faces painted when we go to Corn belly's. They enjoy that a lot . Some how they talked their dad into getting his face painted. The lady who painted his face said she new exactly what he needed. Brad got a black eye with blood. The funny thing about this is after we where finished at Corn Belly's we had to run down town and pick up a few things. Every where Brad went people where staring.

What would Brad do with out his darling daughters. They are always stretching him to come out of his comfort zone. That is a very good thing. Thank goodness for daddy's little girls.

Cops and Robbers

My family likes to play games. When we play it is always women against the men. The men in our family think that they are unstop able and that they always win. I heard about a game called cops and robbers. This is where you have two groups. Cops and robbers. You pick a destination. I chose Heritage Park in Highland. That is about three miles from my house. The robbers have to get to the park before the cops can pick them up. Robbers are on foot. Cops are allowed two cars. Of course it had to be women against the men. I invited the Slater family to join in the fun. I had the women be the robbers. We wanted to win so bad so we could have bragging rights. We wanted to shut the men up. Robbers had a 15 minute head start. We had our game play. Needless to say all robbers made it to the big field behind Mountain Ridge. We had so much fun running and diving into bushes as cars came by. Laying in the field waiting to make a run to the park. We could see the cops driving around looking for us. There was even a time when Travis got out of his car. He was standing 20 feet from my mom and Jenny laying in the field. He could not see them. Finally Kelli, Melissa and myself made a run for it. Courtney, Teysia and Ali made a run for it going the opposite way as us. Kelli got tagged by Parker inches from the safe zone. I escaped Brads touch but got tagged my Mike as I was entering the safe zone. Melissa out ran Blain but got tagged by Brad from behind. Yeah Coutrney made it in, Teysia jumped the fence so she would not be tagged so she made it in. Ali got tagged as well. I was yelling for the rest of the robbers to run in before the other cops showed up. My mom made it in safe and so did Chelsea. Jenny was still out there. We were all yelling for her to get there. If she made it in we won if not the cops did. Jenny started running. She thought she saw the entrance to the field, instead she ran right in to the fence. My dad was inches from touching her. As she ran into the fence she bounce back and hit his face with her head. Two men down. Cops won. The men have been rubbing it inever since. The women want a rematch.!! Robbers: Kim, Courtney, Jenny, Melissa, Jean, Kelli, Teysia, Chelsea and Ali. We will take the men on any day of the week. Game on!!!!

My sweet Dad! That's what Jenny's head did to his face. You should see it now. Completely black and blue. We thought he broke his nose. He didn't.
Two men down. Jenny had a cut head, hand and knee cut. We are grateful that they are both OK. Now that we know that GAME ON!!


We all had so much fun we wish Keri, Bart and Robyn, Ryan and Candace, Ryan and Julie, and Marv and Sue could have been there with us.

Angels among us

Dear Family,
I got this picture for you. I look at it and think of you and me. A picture says a thousand words. Mom, Dad, Teysia, Sadie and Rylee. The Savoir is watching over us every minute of our lives. When times get hard or you guys are stressed out look at this picture and always remember Jesus Christ watches over us. He sends angels to help pick us up. Depend on the Lord for everything. Thank Him for everything that happens in life. I know God has angels around me to help me and I know that there are angels by you and watching over you. I have learned not to stress but if I give all I have to the Lord, He will take care of the rest. I love this picture. I love you all. Tell the family I love them all.

So much fun!

We had so much fun spending time together. I am so lucky to have a husband that loves and adores me. I don't know what I did to be so blessed. I am so thankful for Brad. We laughed and had a great time. I am still a U.S.A. girl. I'm glad that I went to Mexico but I was very excited to return home.

The last picture of me standing in front of the Merida sign is a funny story. We were driving down a little road. We saw the sign and of course I wanted a picture of it. Mexico roads are a driving challenge to say the least. I made Brad turn around so we could take a picture. It was raining and dark that day so it was not so easy to find the sign the second time. I told Brad I had to have a picture before we went home. What a good husband he is, the next couple of days we looked for the sign. Finally we found it and I got my picture.

Beach

While we were in Cancun, Brad and I thought we should go to the beach. We like spending our time at the pool. Every one thinks that I hate the beach but Brad is worse than me. He hates the sand. He says it gets into everything and you can never get rid of it. He has sand from Greece, Saudi Arabia, and other places that after ten years he can not get rid of. So he doesn't want to collect any more.





We had to take our own picture. Don't we look cute? Well he does.



I spent about five minutes in the water. That was good for me. As you can see Brad was in it about two minutes. He didn't want to get his shirt wet. We have both decided that we are a pool couple. We love to lounge at the pool and have food and drinks brought to us.

Cancun

Brad has always wanted to take me to Cancun. I have to say that I have never really wanted to go. I am a U.S.A. girl all the way. My thoughts changed when Jordan received his mission call to Merida. I told Brad that I would love to go to Cancun. We both wanted some time alone together. Brad thought that was great. I have to admit my decision to go to Cancun was I wanted to see where Jordan would serve. We flew over Merida on our arrival into Cancun. This picture is of Merida. I have to say I had tears well up as I looked down upon this land, knowing my son would live here for two years.
Brad and I had a great time. I have already fallen in love with the people in Mexico. They are so friendly. I am so grateful for our trip. It opened my eyes. I know the people will love Jordan and he will love them.

Look at my sexy husband. He is showing off our very nice rental car. It rained hard several times while we were there. When we drove through the puddles we could feel it coming up through the floor of the car. Nice car we wanted to keep it.

Our first day in Cancun it was so nice and warm. We spent the day at the pool enjoying the sun, warm water and coke light. No diet coke in Mexico.

Jordan's Letter

We received a letter form Jordan today. All is going well with him. He does miss the family but truly loves serving the Lord. The next two days Jordan is only allowed to speak in Spanish, no English. He said, " I have so much stuff to learn that I get stressed out but I do my best, I know the Lord will help me." (D:C 1:23-24). Jordan is also learning the first lesson in Spanish. He has been sick and fighting a cold. Over all he loves what he is doing and knows that the Lord is by his side.

Fly Boy

Teysia and I happened to run in to Brad at the airport while he was working. If he knew I was posting this he would divorce me. We all know Brad is such a private person. It was so difficult for me to even get the picture, but after hard work I did. I thought it would be nice for everyone to see him in his uniform. Brad is a very busy boy with three jobs, he loves them all. Delta is his hobby. He loves to fly and enjoys seeing places that Delta takes him. The air national guard, loves, but feels it is an honor to serve. Brad has just been made flight commander, over several pilots. Then there is the dealership. He has a passion for business. He loves being with family. He also loves watching a business grow and being apart of it. Brad right now is in the middle of two check rides. One with Delta and one with the guard. This is his busiest time of year. He is always so glad them it is over. October 11, for Delta and October 18 for the guard. Brad is dedicated to all of his jobs. We laugh at his crazy life, he truly loves all that he does. He has never been happier than he is right now.
